What is GEO?
Generative engine optimization makes a page easy for AI search (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) to reach, read and quote. Pickode checks crawler access, content without JavaScript, llms.txt, structured data and how quotable the text is, and tells you what to fix. No tool can guarantee a citation.
What is llms.txt, and how does the generator work?
llms.txt is a proposed Markdown file at the root of a site that summarizes it for language models; it's not an official standard. Pickode builds a draft from the site's menu, sitemap and footer: review it, edit what you need and upload it to the root of the site.
Will blocking AI training crawlers lower my score?
No. The 16 AI crawlers are split into training, search and user requests, and blocking training crawlers doesn't lower the score.
Does the robots.txt generator overwrite my current rules?
No. It keeps your existing rules and adds the ones for the AI crawlers you choose, from a preset or one by one.
Is the GEO checker free?
Yes. Score, checks, fixes and both generators are free. Analyzing up to 10 pages at once with a CSV export is Pro.
Does Pickode make network requests for GEO?
Yes, only to the site you're analyzing: it reads files like robots.txt, llms.txt and the sitemap. Nothing goes to a Pickode server.
Should I add llms.txt to my website?
It's one of the 11 areas of Pickode's GEO score, and the generator makes a draft in one click. It isn't an official standard, though, and no tool can guarantee that an AI will cite you.
Can Pickode generate llms-full.txt?
No. The GEO checks read llms-full.txt if the site has one, but the generator only drafts llms.txt.
