Who licenses Pickode
Pickode is made and licensed by ErreD di Raison Daniel, an Italian sole proprietorship, Via delle Querce 14, 63082 Castel di Lama (AP), Italia, VAT no. 02283480446 ("we", "us"). You can reach us at info@pickode.com.
By installing or using Pickode you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't install or use it. If you use Pickode for a company or other organization, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.
What Pickode is
Pickode is a browser extension for web designers and developers, for Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Comet and Firefox. It inspects web pages, exports sections as code or for WordPress builders, extracts design tokens and assets, and analyzes SEO, performance, accessibility, AI search readiness and WordPress sites. It runs in your browser; see the privacy policy for how data is handled.
Pickode is distributed through the browser extension stores and from pickode.com. The store's own terms also apply to downloading and installing it.
Your license
Pickode is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Pickode for your own work, personal or professional, including work for your clients. What you can use depends on your plan:
- Free: the free features, with no time limit and no license key. Some features have weekly limits, shown in the extension.
- Pro (monthly, yearly or lifetime): all Pro features for one person, activated on up to 3 browsers.
- Team: all Pro features, including client reports with your own logo, for up to 5 people in your team, each on up to 3 browsers.
- Activations can be moved: deactivate Pickode on one browser to free a slot for another, from the extension or the Freemius customer portal.
You may not sell, rent, sublicense or share your license key outside the people it covers, or publish it.
Code you export with Pickode, reports you generate and files you save are yours to use, within the limits in "Acceptable use" below: Pickode gives you no rights over the original website's content.
Free Pro trial
You can try Pro for 7 days without a card or an account. The trial starts when you turn it on from the Pickode popup and is saved in your browser. When it ends, Pickode goes back to Free unless you activate a license. The trial is offered at our discretion and may change.
Prices and payments
Paid plans are sold by Freemius, which acts as Merchant of Record: you buy from Freemius, which processes the payment, charges the VAT due in your country and issues the invoice. Freemius's terms apply to the purchase itself.
Prices on pickode.com are shown excluding VAT; the VAT for your country is added at checkout, where you see the total before paying. After the purchase you receive the license key by email.
Renewals and cancellation
Monthly and yearly plans, including the yearly Team plan, renew automatically at the end of each period and are charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel.
You can cancel anytime from the Freemius customer portal (the link is in your purchase email). After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for; then the license expires and Pickode goes back to Free. If a renewal payment fails, the license expires in the same way.
If we change the price of a subscription, the new price applies only from a later renewal, and we'll let you know in advance so you can cancel.
Lifetime licenses
Lifetime licenses (Pro and Team) are paid once and do not expire or renew. They include the Pro features and the updates we release for as long as Pickode is offered. "Lifetime" refers to the life of the product, not to the life of the buyer.
If we ever stop offering Pickode, your copy stays yours: we'll tell you by email beforehand and give lifetime license holders a final version as a ZIP file that no longer needs license verification and can be installed in the browser manually. After that there will be no further updates, and features that depend on third-party services, such as Google Drive, may stop working when those services change.
License checks and offline use
To verify a paid license, Pickode sends the license key, a random identifier and a name for the browser to Freemius when you activate it and then about once a week. Pro keeps working offline for 14 days after the last successful check.
If a license expires, is refunded or can't be verified, Pickode goes back to Free. Your Library, saved CSS and settings are not deleted.
Acceptable use
Pickode is for learning, inspiration, auditing and migrating sites you work on. Websites, their designs, text, images, fonts, videos and code are usually protected by copyright, trademarks or licenses. You are responsible for how you use what you inspect, export or download. In particular, you agree:
- not to republish or sell other people's designs, text, images, fonts or other content without the permission of the owner or a license that allows it;
- to save video and audio streams only when they are unprotected and you have the right to save them; Pickode does not support DRM-protected or encrypted video, live streams or YouTube;
- not to use Pickode to circumvent DRM, paywalls, logins or other technical protection measures;
- to analyze or audit websites lawfully, and not to use Pickode to overload or attack them;
- not to remove or bypass the license checks or the Free limits, or to redistribute modified copies of Pickode;
- not to use Pickode in breach of the law or of other people's rights.
If you break these rules we may deactivate your license; where the law requires it, we will tell you why first.
Updates and changes to Pickode
We improve Pickode over time and may add, change or remove features, or change what is included in Free and Pro. Updates are delivered through the browser stores. Some features depend on browsers, websites and third-party services (such as Google Drive and Freemius) and may stop working when they change. If a change significantly reduces a paid plan you are using, write to us.
Warranty and liability
We build Pickode carefully, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that it will work on every website, that exports will be identical to the original, or that analyses, scores and suggestions (SEO, performance, accessibility, GEO) are complete or will lead to a particular result. Check exported code and reports before using them in production or giving them to clients.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or business, or for third-party claims, for example over copyright or trademarks, arising from how you use content you inspect, export or download with Pickode. Our total liability for a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the event.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, for example for liability for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep all the rights given to you by mandatory consumer law, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Pickode or the law changes. We'll publish the new version on this page with the date at the top, and announce significant changes in the changelog before they apply. For an active paid plan, changes that are not required by law apply from your next renewal; if you don't accept them, you can cancel.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence. If you are not a consumer, the courts of Ascoli Piceno, Italy, have exclusive jurisdiction.
Before going to court, please write to us: most problems can be solved by email. If you are a consumer, you can also use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedure, such as mediation or joint negotiation. The list of ADR tools available in Italy is on the website of the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The EU ODR platform has been closed since 2025.
