Export to Bricks
Copy any website section and paste it into Bricks Builder with ⌘V: native headings, text, images, buttons, icons and divs, styled, in your site's fonts.
Updated October 20, 2026
The Bricks export lets you rebuild a section you see on any site directly in Bricks Builder. You copy it in Pickode and paste it in the Bricks editor with ⌘+V (Ctrl+V): it arrives as native Bricks elements, not as one block of code, with the styles already applied.
How to paste a section into Bricks
-
Open the inspector with Alt+I on any page and click the section you want to rebuild.
-
Choose Bricks in the export window and click Copy for Bricks.
-
In the Bricks editor, select an element or the canvas and press ⌘+V (Ctrl+V). Every element shows up in the structure, ready to edit.
What arrives in Bricks
| Part | Details |
|---|---|
| Elements | heading, text-basic, text-link, button, image, icon, div, each with the original HTML tag |
| Icons | Themify, Font Awesome and Ionicons icons become Bricks’ native Icon element |
| Styles | In each element’s Custom CSS, with the #brxe-<id> selector that Bricks realigns on paste |
| Hover on a parent | States on ancestors (e.g. .card:hover .title) are written in the parent’s CSS |
| CSS | Only the CSS the author wrote, with media queries, states and ::before/::after |
Typography
The text’s font-family is not copied, so the section takes your site’s typography as soon as you paste it. If you want the source font instead, turn on Keep the original site font before copying.
If paste doesn’t work
- Make sure you clicked Copy for Bricks in Pickode just before pasting.
- Make sure an element or the canvas is selected in the Bricks editor when you press ⌘+V.
- The Bricks export is verified with Bricks 2.4.2.
