Copy for AI

Copy any website section as a Markdown brief for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or v0: code, layout, breakpoints, states, design tokens and assets from the page.

Updated October 20, 2026

Copy for AI turns a section of any site into a Markdown brief you paste into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or v0. Use it when you want an AI to rebuild or adapt a component in your stack and you’d rather give it real data than a screenshot.

How to copy a section for AI

  1. Open the inspector with Alt+I on any page and click the section or component you want.

  2. Choose Copy for AI and pick the code format you want in the brief.

  3. Edit the request at the top of the brief if you want the AI to do something specific, then copy it.

  4. Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, v0 or any tool that accepts text.

What the brief contains

Part Content
Request An editable prompt at the top: you decide what to ask
Section type Estimated type of section, e.g. what kind of block it looks like
Content and layout The section’s content and how it’s laid out
Breakpoints The responsive rules found in the author’s CSS
States Hover, focus and the other states the component uses
Design tokens The site’s colors, spacing, typography, radii and shadows
Resources The assets the component uses
Code The component in the format you chose, built from the author’s CSS

Everything in the brief is a fact found on the page. Pickode doesn’t add made-up style rules or generic advice, so the AI works from what the site really does instead of guessing from pixels.

Tips

  • Change the request to match your goal: “rebuild this in my stack”, “make a dark version”, “turn this into a reusable component”.
  • If you need the whole design system as files rather than in a brief, export the design tokens separately.
