Install Pickode
How to install Pickode from your browser's extension store, pin it to the toolbar, pick language and theme, and why it asks for each permission.
Updated October 20, 2026
Pickode is a browser extension: you install it once from your browser’s extension store and it works on any page you open. This page covers supported browsers, the first launch and the permissions it asks for.
Supported browsers
| Browser | Notes |
|---|---|
| Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Comet | Chromium browsers, full feature set including the Side Panel where the browser supports it |
| Firefox 140 or later | Everything works in the floating panel; the Side Panel isn’t available |
How to install
-
Go to the download page and follow the link for your browser to its extension store.
-
Add Pickode to your browser and confirm the permissions the store shows you.
-
Pin the extension so its icon stays in the toolbar. In most browsers you do this from the extensions menu next to the address bar.
-
Open any website and click the Pickode icon, or press Alt+I to start the inspector straight away.
First launch: language and theme
Pickode’s interface is in English and Italian. The language can be set to Auto, which follows your browser’s language, or fixed to Italian or English. The theme can be dark, light or follow your system.
You don’t need an account to start: the free version works right away, and you can start a 7-day Pro trial from the extension without a card. See Getting started for a first tour.
Permissions and why Pickode asks for them
Everything runs in your browser and no browsing data is collected or sent. The permissions exist so the tools can work on the page you’re looking at:
